I got a cocktail shot at the doctor on Tuesday, fluids and more antibiotics at the hospital on Friday, cipro and methylprednisolone pack since Saturday and I’m still weak as a kitten. Spent most of today sweating and sleeping, when I wasn’t coughing my head off. Every time I cough, it feels like my heart is going to pump out of my chest.

Thanks. None of this stuff?

It's what I've always used as a sleep aid when I go through colds and my one flu infection decades ago when I was young and healthy.

Sorry, Zang, thought you were inquiring about the prescriptions, not over the counter. I was using that before the hospital (Dayquil too during the day), but only got worse.

The methylprednisolone seemed to be working Monday and Tuesday, then this morning I was back to square one.

Since the hospital, I’m only taking the prescription stuff.

I tested negative for flu and pneumonia last week, so I thought it was just a bad cold. Then Friday hit.
