I have cheap Walmart luggage and was wondering how he couldn’t get out of that unless he, too, had passed out.

Uhhhh, wait. I thought the point of Hide-n-seek was to NOT know where someone is hiding. Joe Biden hide and seek. Even if he helps you hide he'll have a hard time remembering where you hid. In just a few weeks he'll be hiding his own Easter eggs.

I can't imagine any suitcase zipper holding up to the kind of force that someone could exert on the inside of a suitcase trying to get out.

How drunk does someone have to be to agree to something so stupid?

He chose poorly.

If it's leather, it's not something that will tear without a sharp object. (Even the stitching on a suitcase large enough to hold a man is going to be very durable.)
I think one would eventually asphyxiate from exertion while not having sufficient air coming in to meet the increased demand for oxygen; panic would probably set in before then. (I can't imagine the trauma here, and I suspect the medical cause of death was a heart attack.)

I can’t imagine a suitcase large enough to hold a full grown man being made of leather.
That would be an awfully expensive suitcase, would it not?
I guess I’m thinking it is more like a cheap Wal-Mart variety and that seems more likely considering the perp and victim.
I still don’t get why someone would agree to letting someone else do that to them.

Agreed - good quality luggage is pretty tough. It has to survive those baggage loaders @ airports, and if one has ever seen the way stuff get’s thrown around sometimes...
The instantaneous forces generated when a heavy object falls several feet & hits hard concrete are fairly impressive.
Plus, if one is jammed into a very small space, with one’s knees nearly at their ears, one’s “leverage” is not very good. And the O2 levels may have been pretty low by the time the deceased realized he wasn’t going to get outside help. If he clearly did. (drunk).

I would also think the air wold run out pretty quickly.
The cell phone evidence, though is pretty damning and the death penalty for doing something like that would be called for.
As far as her comments about him abusing her and choking her, she stayed with him. And I don’t get women who do that with abusers.
