I look at it this way, if someone leaves a cupcake on my desk at work, there is a very good chance that it will not be there for very long.
Not saying I ate it; however, I am saying that it will not be there. :)
I would just tell everyone that if you left a cupcake on my desk, that would be akin to leaving something in the Bermuda Triangle.
Everyone knows, that things disappear in the Bermuda Triangle. Strange how a cupcake can disappear just like an airplane. ;->)
