Fair enough, but the whistling-past-the-graveyard nothing-burger ostriches have been owned by the tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist nut jobs.
Also, equally fair, the “chicken littles” were chicken-littling when all we had on this thing was fringe reports and youtube vids. The “conspiracy theorists” didn’t start spouting their theories until the MSM started reporting on it, but before they started floating “It’s Trump’s Fault” trial balloons.
I think both extremes are taking their eyes off the ball.
Trump has this under control. Claims that its his fault, claims that this is some plot to take him out, both are baseless. As long as Trump handles this with authority it will work to his, and the American People’s, benefit (given the existing conditions). Why do you think he was so pissed that they brought those cases back without consulting him? Because he’s been in control for a while and somebody went off plan.
It’s easy to destroy the “Trump’s Fault” claims: “I told you we should be less dependent on Communist China. Now maybe the Democrats will stop obstructing my policies.”; “We really need to get that wall built NOW. Thanks, Democrats, for endangering the American people with our reckless disregard for border security.”; “Bernie Sanders wants to turn us into Communist China and look how that worked out for them!”
There is no reason to think that the Chinese would tank their own economy in some last ditch effort to unseat Trump. They could just wait a few years and go back to destroying our economy the way they used to. Yet they did tank their own economy. They know the real numbers and they are scared. Occam’s Razor.
