I really don’t understand the influx of people here who seem invested in the anti prepper mindset. I think it is always good to rely on ourselves to take care of us & our families.

I think it is a fiscally conservative value to buy things which we will use on sale, try to stay healthy and avoid unwanted medical expenses or a debilitating disease.

I appreciate the sharing of info by the thoughtful, people of good will on these threads.

I don't get it either. Clearly every other country that has dealt with this has taken very extreme measures including cutting off entire cities and banning people from leaving their residences.

How is it promoting "panic" to expect that the same thing might happen here? Three or four months of food, water and toilet paper is not a nutty idea.

How many of the folks buy ten of something with a coupon? And yet they bitch at me for suggesting they buy an extra meal every week for a while.

It’s not like I am suggesting they buy a mountaintop retreat and set up barricades. I am suggesting a can of beans and some hot dogs.

” people here who seem invested in the anti prepper mindset.”

Yeah, it saves 20% of one’s food budget to have several weeks of the food they use ‘on hand’. Whatever happens.
Nothing ‘crazy’ about that.
Don’t understand how they miss that.
