My primary caution on deriving ANY conclusions is that the comparable death rate from Corona virus in the US is frankly unknown (not enough cases to make a statistically significant guess.) Regardless, however, the Corona Virus death rate is highly likely to be significantly less that the world-wide rate primarily because of the state of medical care in the US (best in the world.)
So Rush may be right ... or he may be wrong on the death rate; but he is right that the problem in the US is not the virus, it is the way the media are using it to undermine our President.
The normal worldwide mortality rate is less than 1% for influenza. The 1918 Spanish flu killed 2% to 3% of the infected worldwide and that was when healthcare was a lot worse than it is now.
