Nineteen Eighty Four is the name of a book warning of the dangers of Soviet Communism and totalitarianism in general.
It was also the year the Communist Sandinista government of Nicaragua was bombing and shooting the indigenous Miskito Indians to steal their land.
Nineteen eighty four was also the year that Bernard Sanders, then Mayor of Burlington, Vermont, went to Nicaragua to show his support of the Communist dictator, Daniel Ortega. That was also the year Sanders made Burlington a sister city to the Nicaraguan port city of Puerto Caveza.
John Kerry and Tom Harkin were buddies of Ortega too.
So was Majority Leader Jim Wright, of Fort Worth.
Sandinistas helped Palestinians hijack civilian airliners.

It’s weird how all the people who testified against Trump in the House impeachment hearings are getting “book deals” (payoffs).
And it’s really weird how they all have the same book agent: Javelin.

Orwell was not writing about the dangers of Communism. His novel was neither prophecy or science fiction. “1984’’ was a warning. It was a warning about power. The pursuit of it, the use of it and maintaining of it.
When he wrote the book, the Soviet Union was the prime example of a totalitarian state.
