Not good.
4.8% fatality rate.
Analysis of 50,404 patients (infected persons)
That's a bit over 0.8% higher mortality than the numbers reported out of Hubei Province., and with (apparently) the majority of cases yet to be resolved.
This of course only applies to those who qualify to be tested. Why do I suspect Party Officials with a sniffle come before bricklayers with a deep cough?

don’t know for sure but. it would be typical if Party members had their own hospitals
Regardless, the hospitals only accept people in early stages - the sick and infected are neither admitted nor counted. many of those are rounded up and forcibly sent to quarantine centers where little to no medical treatment is available

Because you would be right? Actually, from what I heard (privately, but also confirmed in certain videos coming out of the area) was that there was a tremendous amount of pressure put on the decision of who to test. They could only test a few people a day, and so the doctors were told to follow certain rules. These rules were complicated by the fact that they were way past capacity, and could only treat *relatively* milder cases (and were to told to only treat those they could test, and only test those they could treat).
Regardless of the truth of that, you are right to treat any of the numbers coming out of China as having little real value.

We have no room to judge any country. We’ve tested just over 400 people, are releasing people without testing after just 14 days and allowing infected people to fly on commercial planes.
