Star Wars is by far the best one.

Star Wars - The Saga Begins is the best of the bunch.

Thanks for posting!

‘Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ was always a favourite. I remember reading an interview with David McCallum, where he talked about when people stopped recocnizing him as ‘Illya’ and started recognizing him as ‘Ducky’.

This is my punishment for mentioning Weird Al earlier, isn’t it?

(Ping to watch and comment more after I get home from work)

Weird Al is a genius.

He’s also a genuinely nice and decent person. While there have been many “parody” song and video performers, I don’t believe that any in recent memory have been more thoughtful, but more importantly, done with more kindness, than Al’s. Many that I’ve seen over the years were pretty snide or even hateful, but Al’s have always been done partly as a tribute and always with the permission of the original artist, with only one exception, which seemed to be an honest mistake.

I believe that it was Kirk Cobain who said that he knew Nirvana had really made it when Weird Al did a parody of one of his songs.

In a lot of cases, I really enjoy his parody more than the original. And his original “genre tributes” are really great as well.

In case it’s not readily apparent, I’ve been a fan of his since I first heard him on the Dr. Dimento show back in the mid-1970s.

Mark
