I guess if they raid state employee pension plans for $3-400 billion, they can bring back the bullet train to nowhere.

Should we feel sorry for California state employees?

A few of them, maybe, but mostly nah.

Then there's Newsome’s soluion for homelessness: compelling doctors to write “Prescriptions for Houses”...........
a-n-o-t-h-e-r stale decrepit “Progressive” idea.....from the horse and buggy days.

Like Bernie saying: “I will be calling for public ownership of the telephone company.”

Bernie is stuck on stupid......he thinks “the telephone company” is still AT&T.

REALITY CHECK There are literally 1,500 telephone companies phone companies serving our nation...... and that’s not counting the copious number of data center providers, metro cable providers, and networks built within networks.

The pre-1984 ATT broke up into Regional Bells, such as Pac Bell, Bell South, Bell Atlantic, etc. And since then, we’ve seen the rise of Verizon, T-Mobile USA, etc.

Bernie hasn’t the foggiest idea how this web of companies cooperate together to deliver the best networks of any nation with high speed internet and WiFi access almost everywhere. (hat tip poconopundit)

We need to have an entrance exam for Presidential candidates ....and for all public offices.

So much for “Progress”.
