“I thought the same thing when China told everyone it was ok to go back to work..I think they gave up trying to contain it..Why not then export it to keep a level playing field”
I won’t go as far as saying that the Chinese are exporting the virus on purpose, but I do agree that they’re about at the point where everyone MUST go back to work, and those who get sick and/or die, well they’ll still have a billion or so people after this ends.
recall the propaganda about a week ago that China was saving the world? As if the virus had just spontaneously broken out everywhere and China was but the worst victim? So it wouldn’t be surprising if they did try to seed it. And not to miss an opportunity, now pushing their TCM industry as preferable to western medicine? To save face, but not beyond making a buck off it like a snakeoil salesman during the Plague.
China’s been pushing a ‘die a hero to save your country at war’ pitch to the public. And there are still enough ‘angry uncles’ around to point a finger at those not working their hardest. (case in point, pregnant nurses working ICU being called ‘brave’ instead of being sent home, hello, to some safety)
I wonder if they will at least have two sections in the factories? asymptomatic here and ‘mild’ there, or will they throw everyone in together and just peel them off as they fail the temp check at morning checkin?
