The CDC is a bit behind the curve, but is hamstrung because it’s a bureaucracy- I’ll leave possible other reasons aside. Regardless, this virus is not like the others. For starters, the R0 and mortality rates are unknown be cause China hasn’t provided factual numbers. If you believe they have, we are not going to find common ground.
For the most part, these threads have posted information from known sources across the globe. By that I mean this isn’t infowars.
I find I’m better equipped to face life if I use multiple sources for information. If I relied solely on WHO or the CDC I’d be unprepared. There’s a bigger picture to see. Are you expecting an attitude of smug self-righteousness will persuade us to see this your way?
Maybe, hopefully, people have been sick and recovered in those apartment blocs and not been counted.
All we can do is presume they know something enough to warrant the response they've had. IMO, a 3% mortality rate would not do this.
