but I have *grave* apprehensions he is being taken in. Look at the recent revelations of Paul Ryno/Pence trying to supplant him during the campaign in 2016.

Trump is not only consistently underestimated, he fosters that! Don’t worry. That Ryan/Pence stuff is still TBD, imho.

I believe it, but have forgiven Pence (not Ryan!). I think they convinced Pence, temporarily, that the Trump campaign was collapsing, that perhaps he would even drop out of the race before election day.

Pence is guilty of a egregious error in judgment, perhaps inflated by excessive ambition/pride.

I think he has been loyal and trying to make amends to MAGA World ever since.

Mindful of ransomnote's "gentle request" in post 489 and hopeful that this comment is not deemed violative thereof...

I do believe that Q is trying to teach us lessons about trust and loyalty — the same lessons that Jeff Bridges taught to his young crewmen in the movie White Squall.

Obviously, we should never speak ill of our POTUS, because insubordination divides the team and hurts morale.

On the other hand, there WILL be times when we doubt POTUS, rightly or wrongly, because we're human and POTUS is human.

Even the greatest commander can be fooled by bad or ill-intentioned advisors.

In cases where we believe (rightly or wrongly) that there might be traitors leading POTUS astray, we should direct our criticism toward the alleged traitors, not toward POTUS.

In fact, identifying possible traitors and subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny is — in my humble opinion — one of our most important jobs, and one of the best ways we can help POTUS and help the team.

Just my 2 cents.
