Whatever Bolton may or may not be, I would bet the farm Trump knew exactly what he was getting with Bolton, and he served a purpose, whatever it was (or more than one).
And as such a notorious neo-con, I wonder how many NSCers may have tried to curry favor during his stay, what approach they might use. I wonder if he was trolling. Imagine the stories he could tell.
After this 2+ year adventure, I hesitate assigning black hat status beyond the more obvious candidates. It’s those more people are good and stealth bomber recurring themes in this movie that caution me to hedge my bets.
what I had noticed and I only saw\heard it once (and I don’t remember where)...what Pres. Trump tweets about Bolton vs. what he said about Bolton were 2 different things.
What I saw\heard was, the Pres. in a conversational tone with a softness in his voice say something to the effect “ John’s ok, we just didn’t agree about....”
to this day I haven’t been able to find a clip of that...
