Today in As The Tom Brady Turns
ESPNs Adam Schefter was a guest on The Rich Eisen Show, and during the course of that interview, Schefter relayed information passed along to him by fellow ESPNer Jeff Darlington. Schefter said that Darlington told him that the Titans appear to be the favorite right now in the Tom Brady Sweepstakes of 2020.

Brady should stay with the Pats or retire. I don’t want to see him make an ass out of himself like Brett Favre.
I say that as a long-time Favre fan, too.
Agreed.
Fake News.
“I dont want to see him make an ass out of himself like Brett Favre.”
How so? He was one playoff game from being in the Superbowl.
Darlington couldn’t find his ass with both hands, and he has absolutely zero inside information about this.
The bloviating opinion of a B-list “hot taker” isn’t news.
Titans did make the playoffs and have a stud RB.
...
They also had the QB with the highest QB rating. Why would they switch to high priced Brady who looks to be just average these days?
Pats or bust.
Agree he should retire. If he still wants to be involve in NFL he can coach and train QB. I am sure he has a wealth of knowledge.
He needs to retire while is heath is still good.
I'm not sure either Tannehill or Henry are re-signed for next year, although the last I heard, Henry wants to stay in Nashville.

)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
That makes no sense. If he can still play, he won’t be ‘making an ass’ out of himself no matter where he plays. If he can’t play, he makes an ass out of himself no matter where he plays.
That being said, he can still play and whatever team he is on will be very competitive (they’d be my favorite to win the SB) because he is the greatest pure winner ever in sports and that’s his magic. He wants to win so he is only going somewhere he knows he can win (meaning that Brady knows the team has the tools). Money has never been his priority.
Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick letting Brady get away will catapult them ahead of the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth as far as stupid sports moves go. They should make a concentrated effort to bring in the support Brady needs and make him a fair offer for two years and it will virtually guarantee at least one more Super Bowl over the next 2 years.
What is driving this? Do they really think Brady is over the hill? Or is Brady pushing this move b/c he wants to do something else?
I thought their QB was very good. And fun to watch. I would be pissed if I were the Titans QB and they wasted a ton of money on a 42 year old guy.
And I am a pats fan.
The Titans should save their money. They will be in the Superbowl in a couple of years anyway.
I dont think Kraft will let him go. I think Brady just wants a couple more years as the highest paid player in the NFL. Hell, Dak Prescott wants $30 million a year - Brady probably wants $50
Vrabel was a LB. cant say he never get a pass from Tom, but it would have been rare.

I don’t really think that is a good analogy. Ruth was making the transition from best pitcher to power hitter. Brady is in the twilight. I think he has at least one good season—if he has a line in front of him.
I don’t see Brady breaking a lot of seasonal records from the point out.
I also don’t think the fans are going to get too upset with his moving out west.
I still think he is going to Las Vegas. They will need to fill the stands and I think a lot of out-of-towners will buy tickets at the last minute to see him. It sounds like he would be setting up a residential show—just like Cher or Brittany Spears.
My best guess is that Bill Belichick’s pride is driving this. He wants to show that he can win with out Brady.
A few years ago he was willing to throw a Super Bowl out the window when he benched his best cornerback for something so offensive we never found out what it was. (and btw, that player was Malcolm Butler and he did play in the game on special teams so he wasn’t even really benched. It just made no sense except that it was Belichick’s pride at work. For that matter if the Pats just got a couple more weapons this past year they would have another trophy in the case. Remember that late in the season Brady only lost to KC by a touchdown and we had Brady and a bunch of nobodies. AND the ref’s stole at least one TD from the Pats)!
My opinion:
Brady allowed himself to be underpaid so that the Pats would have more money for a supporting cast. Last year, with Gronkowski gone and Edelman gimpy, he had no one to throw to, and no great RB (certainly not Derrick Henry great) to share the load. The O-line has also been better, as well.
Now Brady wants to cash in, but he can’t do it with the Pats and get the missing pieces. He may also want to show he doesn’t “need” Belichick.
Brady can’t retire after that awful loss. He wants to go out like John Elway or Peyton Manning. He also wants more Super Bowl rings than anyone, player or coach.
It makes lots of sense.
First of all, I’m an Alabamian. I’m not from New England, so I have no hometown team. I’ve always liked the Patriots because of their team work effort.
That said, I’m not a fan of any single team. I like aspects of all of them. They just all can’t be Roll Tide, U of Alabama, either. :-)
Brady is the GOAT, but he has been blessed with a great team. That had something to do with his stature among QBs.
When Favre left the Packers, everyone was saying he would keep being great and propel any team he signs with to the SB. But it didn’t work out that way.
It rarely does.
NOTHING last for ever, especially being in the GOAT for your position in the NFL.
I just want to see Brady, whom I respect and admire, go down winning and not tarnishing his record be appearing as a desperate has been. I’m not saying that will happen, but I don’t want to see him risk it. He 42 years old.
BTW, I was there in DC when Lawrence Taylor broke Joe Theismann’s leg. I won’t want to see that happen to Brady, either. I worry about us old guys.
Two words:
Contract negotiations.
