I just realized why they might not want those positive patients at local hospitals (other than the space necessary for them)...

My understanding, the majority are Diamond Princess passengers. There are a number of videos and pictures of the evacuation flight, including the isolation chamber for the known infected.

Oddly part of that story does not completely add up. The diagnosis was supposedly made on the way to the flight and yet the isolation chamber was already loaded and installed. Maybe it was foresight and maybe not.
