The more I think about it the more you really tick me off with your presumptions. I am not trying to gin up anything. People are upset over what happened to Ryan Newman. It is pretty heartbreaking.
Buzz off with your BS
never said you didn’t watch sports...
i said you know nothing about nascar since you have to go to wikipedia for rules and regulations...
you have a habit of twisting stories around without having all the facts from both sides of the story...
the exact same thing i busted you on about your attempted one sided story on alan dershowitz a few weeks ago...
I see it as Newman went to block Blaney as he went low to pass for the win.
OH REALLY???? Let’s see the post to back up your claim..oh..just never mind
Busy
Picking my bet for tonight. Merrimack plus 4.5 parlayed...but college ball is wild ride.
BUZZ OFF
quick search pulls up this thread..because well..Alan would never try to save face...and certainly couldn’t find ANY first class reservations during the Superbowl... despite that fact that I had no problem doing finding FIRST CLASS reservations to and from on multiple days

You do know people can gamble and make money and not have a problem. I sit all day trading..and nights too...and sports betting is something I do as well.
But take your judgemental hypotheses and cram them and stay away from me.
There is one way to put an end to this. End the teams.
One owner, one car allowed.
Like I said, thats just one way to end this.
I'm an ex-bettor, and was pretty good at picking winners.
Professional bettors can be satisfied with their wins, pick up the chips and move on.
My problem was greed, and while I won a ton, I also lost a ton plus the vig.
It took a while, but I learned and now I go to the casino as a driver for my wife.
My high roller days are long gone, but if you can maintain your perspective, some people can pick winners.
If you are one of those, congrats, and bono fortuno.
Not a big bettor. I see guys lay down 4 grand on one tennis match and the obvious choice can’t even win one game...Like Casper Ruud today.
I spend most of my day trading...and betting is something that keeps my occupied too. Online you can bet as little as .10 cents..
Patrick Everson on Twitter reports on big bets in the Vegas Casinos. The money people lay out is staggering..but then it could be an Arab Oil Man betting 500K on one game..and that is like .10 to him.
Well, that sure sounds cold hearted. I will never be a Hamlin fan.
btw, trading requires some of the same discipline and mindset as gambling..in terms of vig, greed, etc...ESPECIALLY OPTION TRADING
I tamed that beast long ago....after having blown up my account more than once decades ago.
That is not to say it still isn’t a daily grind but I have a pic up of a JP Morgan quote that i frequently look at..
“I made a fortune getting out too soon”
What caused Ryan Newmans terrifying crash at the Daytona 500?
I am thinking looking at a cellphone and twitter.
No amount of rhetoric will cause me to believe that “Bump Drafting” is healthy or good form the sport!
Rough driving should be penalized in NASCAR just as it is in sports car racing and Formula One.
Oh, I agree that drafting helps with top speed.
I just believe that “Bump Drafting” should not be allowed.
As someone who raced in his younger days, I got to say that it takes guts to race 200+ mph. Superspeedway racing is the best because you don’t know who will win, Trevor Bayne won his only race at the 500 and one rookie who is not one of the Big 3 (Christopher Bell, Cole Custer or Tyler Reddick) came in at 11th (John Hunter Nemechek).
As a racer, I am sure you can understand the feeling they have of wanting to win Daytona 500. Earnhardt Jr never did.
Ryan Newman almost did.
Someone told a funny story about a racer in a coma. Dont remember his name. He woke up to a race where someone was racing HIS car..and asked why it was happening.
Seems a bit coincidental to suddenly wake up from a coma during a race..but there it is.
Call the highway patrol! To investigate this “accident”. /s
THIS WAS THE DAYTONA 500 not some Sunday drive after church.
Rubbin’ is racin’ as they say.
If there were no crashes, NO ONE would watch!
It would be like a prize fight where they didn’t hit each other.
I was unable to watch the race but have seen numerous superspeedway races. This is how they race those tracks. At the end of the day, that was just a racing deal. They all wanted to win. Newman threw a block, as he was supposed to do. Hamlin powered through , as he was supposed to do.
Thank God Newman is still alive. Even though I suspect this is a career ender, I pray that he is able walk out of the hospital.
