This is the legacy of Earnhardt. And Engineering. And God.
The Newman Bar..named after the driver...probably saved his life.
The Earnhardt bar?
I seriously can’t believe he’s alive.
pic of car after they pulled him out

Haven’t heard much about the guy weaving behind him and then pushing him into the spin. It appeared reckless to me, a non-expert.
Well that audio/video is interesting.
“Newman has made complaints in the past about the safety of NASCAR’s tracks.
He’s been a harsh critic of NASCAR’s struggles to keep cars on the ground, even getting fined for public comments the sanctioning body considered negative.
In 2010, he said fans shouldn’t even go to the track to see races at Talladega.”
I have read all of your many posts about the race and the crash, and have much appreciated your knowledge of this sport. Are you a retired driver or what is your relationship to racing? Thanks again.
I don't recall any other outlet reporting full recovery.
I also posted a video where you can see his team in fed ex gear clearly saw how bad that wreck was...
It was poor judgement on someone’s part...or multiple people..including NASCAR.
For my education, could you please point out the Newman Bar? In the photo below, the white arrows are pointing to the Earnhardt Bar.

LOL..Heck no...I watched it because I made some bets on the race.
A lot of people here do understand the drafting, pushing, etc.
Yes. That’s excellent news.
You are correct.
His injuries are not life threatening. That does not mean full recovery. He could be paralyzed. Look at his head in that red circle pic.
well, the mods pulled the enlarged red circle pic..basically his head is without the helmet twisted to the side
I wasnt too worried about him being upside down until the car spun so that the drivers side of the car was turned to oncoming race traffic... and then immediately t-boned.
Upside down, it didnt appear like there was much of the car to absorb the impact or protect Ryan Newmans head ... and at that speed, too ... the front of that car just crumpled with the impact into the #6 car.
It is amazing that anyone could survive any of the Big Ones, but they usually just climb out and walk away.
I was very relieved to hear he was in serious but stable condition last night and am I very hopeful for Ryan Newmans recovery. He has a lot recovering to do.
