Hah hah!

Like he, my sister also cannot stand his voice!

It is an acquired taste, but if you listen to some of his really great songs with that “asthma voice,” like “Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carrol” or “Ramona” I think his voice actually adds to the wistful, poignant quality found in them.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Dylan is one of THE greatest musicians of the last couple generations, composing and playing in many different genres. But, his voice did get raspier over time, and I think he cultivated that.
