Mae West was a popular actress in the pre-#Woke Golden Age of Hollywood. In addition, she was one of Hollywood's first advocates for the elevation of conservative, independent women in a male-dominated, and in some cases sexually oppressed, industry, of which West's concerns were finally vindicated in the exposure of Harvey Weinstein's perverted crimes.

To solve the puzzle:
