So then, her row can't recline, sure. Got it. Then, of course, the next row in front of her can't recline. And the next, and the next. So, no one can recline at all? Or this woman just has to suck it up? That's ridiculous. If you're the poor schmuck who gets stuck in a seat that won't recline, that doesn't mean every single person on the plane has to share your discomfort. Airline seats recline, period. If some airlines want to disable recline on ALL seats, that's fine too.
A few years ago, I had a flight where my "reclining" seat wouldn't recline. After a few tries, I got up and looked at the back of my seat, and sure enough, the millennial behind me had inserted clips that prevented my seat from reclining. You can buy such devices online. Of course, the idiot's seat WAS reclined. After a brief and direct conversation, he removed his silly devices.
I pay for my infant granddaughter to have her own seat, I always feel bad, it keeps other from reclining.
