Don’t give me that B.S.

The harshest, nastiest, meanest criticism of womens’ bodies comes from OTHER WOMEN.

(though I do have an issue with tattoos, because people make a conscious choice there)
……………………………………………………………………………

I never was against tats, I just chose not to have any. Then my wife Joy passed away Oct. 27, 2019.

In Dec. 2019 at age 73 I got my first and only one. A small heart on my left forearm with her name in it. I felt as if half my soul died with her, friend. The loneliness is incomprehensible. The tat helped a little bit.

Gosh, I am sorry to hear of your loss, Graybeard58.

My heart goes out to you. I often wonder how I will take it if my wife goes before me...I just can’t fathom it.

Don’t know if you are a praying person, I am trying to be, and said a prayer for you, FRiend.

As for the tattoo, it isn’t that kind of tattoo that brings out that reaction in me...it is the ones that go up the arms, neck, all over the legs and such.

I have always fully accepted a forearm, upper arm, and even a hand tattoo on men, and smaller ones on women in more discreet places.

My dad was career Navy, and I had no problem with men who got them on their chest or back, but there is some kind of prudish, conservative side of me that rebels when I see a lovely woman with lots of tattoos. There seems to be some...sacrilege...of something God made so beautiful marked with permanent ink.

Now, that is only my initial reaction. Once I meet someone, I deal with them on the basis of who they are, not how they have painted their skin. (unless they have them on their face, head, or neck...it takes me more to get past that, and I can)
