In China?

And that marathon faster was under close medical supervision, with careful attention to adding missing vitamins, otherwise he would have succumbed to scurvy or beriberi well before the year was up.

And for the record, I’m good for several months...

There are coincidences, especially in statistics.

Statistically there are some...

lol...true but they always make me suspicious.

Your work history is key to this story. After a few years with a die yield problem that was clearly litho related(and a very pissed off customer) I ran a few million alignment data points in a binning program. They were from six different steppers. At first there was clearly a 4 sigma alignment problem. My Manager was ready to shut everything down until the problem could be isolated. I separated the data based upon specific unit(s) and found that one machine had a stage position problem. Fixed that. But in the course of reviewing the data I discovered that every machine had a misalignment in a certain(common) area of operation of the stage, after that they were specific to the machine but very repeatable. Used that and created a stage optimization subroutine that accounted(and compensated) for the marginal positioning in the specific unit. Never would of found it just looking at raw data.

No, probably not in China!

Here in the good ole U.S. of A., ? Sure. You bet. Yeah, the lamentations and panic would be delicious. I mean, fromna strictly academic perspective. Can you imagine?

I’m not sure about this, but it looks to me about half of the entire population of China has been told to stay home for a few weeks - about 750 million people, well over the entire population of the US. I’d love to hear the “authorities” just try to ease everybody psychologically into this without inciting a riot. Yeesh.

We all did. Try to loose some weight and all that xylene comes out of the fat and makes you ill. I know several people that are still on medical surveillance from exposure 30 years ago. I was on arsenic med watch for 15 years.

( Chinese Monty python) We apologise again for the fault in the numbers. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked, have been sacked.

I worked in a place that had the deep As furnace right by the entrance.

One day I walked in and was hit by garlic smell, and I instantly evacuated the fab.

Turned out the furnace operator had pizza for lunch.

What fallout did I get? None. My direct supervisor and the plant manager totally supported me. Although both the operator and I were a bit embarrassed...

Better to be safe than sorry. I have been in several fabs where the AS furnace or implant etc was by the main entrance. Always seemed foolish to me.
