The garbage gets tied up and goes out the window, esp if the person is well enough to tie it up. No need for anyone else to touch it. Let it pile up. Deal with it later. Have them also put soiled linen and clothes in the bag. Burn it all later.

If the person is not well enough, then there’s going to have to be one designated person to care for them. I’m guessing we’d be pitching a second tent for the caregiver.

My big thing is whatever the sick person touches, no one else touches if possible.

These are all good plans; however, given the nasty nature of this virus, if one person in your family is exposed, you’re all exposed before you even know they are sick.

Nope, the dog and cats and other varmints would have the virus-y garbage all over the neighborhood. The patient would have to keep it double or triple bagged in their room for 14 (24!) days.

Yes to burning everything later.
