I would think if MOST cases just look like a flu, and because so many US folks do not smoke it could easily be transmitted and not reach the degree of severity. I figure this is why the CDC wants every case of flu tested.

That would be smart, easier to rule out the flu. If it is the flu, apply flu treatment. If the flu test comes back negative check for Coronovirus. That would save a lot of testing time.
