The Chinese are the most arrogant people on earth. Americans are a bunch of mongrels dontcha know! We don’t require any information.
If this hits retail supply chains, Americans will go ages before jumping back into buying from China. It will be akin to buying Japanese when we were kids. Or at least when I was a kid.
I agree with you on all points. Forcing the world to wait a month or more for a hint of data while shutting down their cities thank you, is just unbelievably poor form. A lot of trust has been lost in the world towards China. I posted upthread somewhere that the EU and the US will be looking at, oh, crap this is what we don’t have and have to have for an epidemic, it’s imperative to develop our own alternate sources instead of singlesourcing China for every alcohol wipe.
