It seems if you strip out the Colombian drug lord stuff and replace it with what we know happened to threaten the US, the plot makes sense. Trump authorizes covert operations against the forces aligned against the US.

I actually went a different direction with it. I think this exposes Obama who authorized FISAGATE, among MANY other attempts to destroy POTUS. I'll modify the quotes a tad to show what I mean.
