“It is already past animal trials and on to human trial”
really? the article says zilch about “animal trials”, plus you can’t test a human vaccine for eithe efficacy OR safety in “animal trials” ...
and regarding human testing, that’s several months into the future according to the article:
“Our goal is to start phase one human testing in the U.S. early this summer.”
and finally, regarding your statement:
“this should cut thru red tape and have every company that can manufacture the anti-virus working OT to make it happen”
the article is talking about a vaccine, NOT an anti-viral, which are two entirely different things: a vaccine is administered to try to confer immunity to a disease, while an anti-viral is a drug that is administered to try to cure a viral infection after one has contracted the viral infection, presumably because the vaccine failed or no vaccine existed ...
this should cut thru red tape and have every company that can manufacture the anti-virus working OT to make it happen
the White House is pushing ahead and “moving at Trump time” on a treatment drug and are hopeful testing and production could begin “as early as the end of the month, mid-March.”

Now, the South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou says that two of its researchers, Shen Yongyi and Xiao Lihua, have identified the pangolin as the potential source of nCoV-2019 on the basis of a genetic comparison of coronaviruses taken from the animals and from humans infected in the outbreak and other findings. The sequences are 99% similar, the researchers reported at press conference on 7 February.

Another way a vaccine can be developed is by isolating the cells from a patient who has recovered from the disease. These cells can then be screened [for antibodies], and the common areas of these antibodies can be reproduced to see if it is an active and effective vaccine, says Leproust.

the drug, called remdesivir, was responsible for his recovery, but other research has shown it is effective against the Mers coronavirus in mice. The drug is known as a broad-spectrum antiviral, meaning it can block the ability of a number of viruses from making copies of themselves.
