the article is talking about a vaccine, NOT an anti-viral, which are two entirely different things: a vaccine is administered to try to confer immunity to a disease, while an anti-viral is a drug that is administered to try to cure a viral infection after one has contracted the viral infection, presumably because the vaccine failed or no vaccine existed ...

I still find it bothersome that they “have the vaccine”, but can’t even imagine starting human trials until the summer, over 4 months away.
Now, if it truly takes 4 months to make absolutely sure the vaccine is safe to be TRIED on humans, that is one thing.
But this feels like a regulatory hurdle.
