After saying for weeks the spacecraft and systems performed “as designed” after recovering from a Mission Elapsed Timer issue just 31 minutes after launch and point-blank saying that no other anomalies occurred on the mission, Boeing and NASA have now admitted that two more serious issues — one of which could have led to the Loss Of Vehicle — occurred during Starliner’s first mission.

It appears that SpaceX has begun preparations for its first manned flight of the Dragon 2 capsule in May 2020.
They have increased their diversity though!

“Of note, Boeing’s Mr. Chilton seemed to disagree that Starliner would have been destroyed had the second software error not been found.”

Language barrier?
Testing is costly and time consuming, so, testing is the first thing to get cut.
Why?
Because contractors have to produce an inordinate paper trail to answer questions from unqualified NASA managers.
They’ve adopted “non-rigorous” AA engineering principles, as advocated by some in engineering education at Purdue University.
#8 Microsoft fired all of it’s QA people.
I assume Boeing is doing the same so the ceo can have a bigger golden parachute when he leaves after a couple of airplanes crash and kill hundreds of people.

Holy crap! How difficult can timer be? They should use the one from the Apollo mission.
