The week President Donald Trump was acquitted in his impeachment trial was Fox News Channels best in the ratings since the weeks he was elected and inaugurated.
The Nielsen company said Fox News averaged 4.27 million viewers in prime time last week, better than any network except for ABC, which televised the Academy Awards, and CBS.
It was the fifth most-watched week ever for Foxs prime-time schedule, and highest since election week 2016, Nielsen said. The only other times Fox topped that mark came during two weeks in March 2003, during the Iraq War, and the August week in 2015 when the network showed the years first Republican debate the first one Trump participated in.
Measuring the entire day instead of just the evening hours, it was Foxs best week since January 2017, when Trump took office.
Fox News is Trumps favorite network, although hes grumbled when there are some things on the air that arent to his liking, and the destination of choice for his supporters, too. Besides his impeachment acquittal last week, Trump delivered a State of the Union address highly regarded by his fans, and the Iowa caucus turned into a dysfunctional mess for Democrats.

Fox: Hannity especially has been very good tonight with Senator Graham, Kevin McCarthy, Matt Gaetz, and Sarah Sanders as guests. Laura has been good except that as usual she has had her token Demonrat spokesman on her program.
It has made tonights parade of communists tolerable.
I had to turn off Hannity last night. His constant talking over guests, interrupting them, and repeating things over and over became too annoying. Just shut up and let them speak!
I find hannity unwatchable. If I want to get yelled at I will try to fix the upstairs toilet.
FBN was better. Lou Dobbs had quite the story...
“FBN was better. Lou Dobbs had quite the story...”
Yes. Wasn’t that great when Nunes broke the news of Trump pulling the judge’s nomination? Dobbs’ earlier reporting on that show may have given PDJT the info that made him decide to do that.
Dobbs is an annoying interrupter and over-talker, too, like Hannity, but he isn’t AS aggravating.
I stopped watching him also, I sent him a Twit telling him to drop the pen when he shakes hand with a quest.
