when i was in 12th grade, i took an English proficiency test on how to write a business letter. it stated to write as if you were looking for a job. i wrote a letter that was hilarious to a law firm of Flanigan, Branigan and Shananigan ending with the tidbit that i would change my name to Gilligan... the letter was spot on format and technical... they called me into a meeting with the head of the English Department to say they were giving me a 61, just passing... they graded my on the content, not my proficiency in writing a letter. this was in 1980... baltimore city public schools.
Hahahahaha!
