Also, I dont understand why were alarmed that some older adults are delaying retirement, given the nations underreported but growing issue with pension underfundingI'm closer to 80 than 70, but I'm still working because when I retire I trade a $193k salary for a $13k pension. It doesn't seem like a good financial trade off just to be able to sit around the house.

We should be alarmed at a generation of “give it to me” adult children who have no concept of what standing on their own means. I think the scientific term is “titty babies”.

We had our last child (of 3) a few months before I turned 48. He turns 18 in two weeks. Raising kids is for younger folks, though I dont regret it. We also have a 9 year old grandson, with a granddaughter arriving in June.
Im a lucky man.

The only ‘issue’ are those pension “promises” made on the backs of the taxpayer; not so much those of the private sector.
