I refuse to use those canvas bags for groceries because of pathogens we are paying 10 cents a bag BUT they are much better plastic bags I ALWAYS forget to bring them into the stores for reuse, I end up using them to clean my kitty box!!!
Yeah we were supposed to be switched over to paper and canvas bags a few months ago- but none of the stores have done so yet- I suspect it’s coming though soon- We used the plastic bags to bag up old meat and fruit and stuff that goes bad- paper bags just won’t cut it for that purpose-
Years ago they had paper bags, and they were ok BUT they always ripped- and groceries would tumble out just as you’re about a foot away from house- or so-
wish they’d come up with a biodegradable plastic bag- -
