Darn, missed the SB for yet another year? Hard to recall ever seeing a half time show when I try to remember watching the NFL some years back.
I think they had marching bands. Then they went to hiring a singer. (Someone mentioned Anita Bryant.) It metastasized from there.
Is it just my TV, but when a live production starts, the audio immediately sounds like the microphone is moved about fifty yards away from the music. Therefore, I have very little idea what is being sung. Makes me wonder if they are trying to prevent someone from lifting the music for sell. I was blissfully unaware of what the two singers were singing. I did have to mute the RAP, though. It is unmistakably obnoxious.
When it is over, the sounds comes back crystal clear. The Sunday night football theme music is the same.
There is no problem with commercial music.
