Now it's Salad Rat! Vermin is spotted hauling an empty carton along NYC subway tracks

First there was Pizza Rat. Then there was Bagel Rat. Donut Rat even made an appearance one day.

It seems the furry creatures can't get enough of New York's penchant for fast food.

But New Yorkers aren't the only ones embracing a so-called 'New Year, New Me' health kick as Salad Rat has arrived on the scene.

The healthy vermin was spotted hauling a salad bowl along subway tracks on Wednesday.

Also spotted was democ-rat, carry away our liberty.

There is no film of it however, and rumors are that anyone who films them wind up missing.

Its interesting how society sets rules and polices itself - until it doesn’t.

I lived in Hong Kong for several years. No one ate on the subway. Of course there were simple signs saying it was not allowed, but there were rarely police around - but no one would do it anyway. Once I saw some citizens upbraiding a young man who dropped some garbage on the platform. If that were NY City, I am certain anyone daring to say anything (which they wouldn’t) would get hit by F-bombs or the threat of violence. I guess when people realize they aren’t supported by society, they stop caring about social cohesion.
