IIRC it was
Woman: “Sir,you’re drunk.”
Churchill: “Yes,and you’re ugly.But tomorrow morning I’ll be sober and you’ll still be ugly.”
Supposedly it was a quote from Churchill to Lady Astor after she scolded him for being drunk.
His retort was “In the morning I will be sober, whereas in the morning you will still be ugly.”
Some say it never happened, some say he quipped “... in the morning you will still be a fool.”
