He shredded the truth, so I shredded his speech,” Pelosi told House Democrats, according to multiple sources in the room. “What we heard last night was a disgrace.” We know the president is always in promoter mode, and he does exaggerate at times. But the thing that's driving Nancy and most other Dims nuts is they know what the president said last night is basically true, and that many things in the country are as good or better than they've ever been.
They're petrified that more and more and their dependable voters are noticing how much things are improving for everyone.

If Trump is re-elected and Nancy remains Speaker, I expect her to hold a lit cigarette lighter under the paper speech, and burn it while the president speaks. She will dunk the smoking paper into a waterglass and sit there with a sour expression on her face.
