Same last name... Is this an American thing? British? I have some Italian friends who don’t have the same name... Say it isn’t done over there.
I am not familiar with various cultured but traditionally the woman took the husband’s last name after marriage. Names are joined (hyphenated) in some places and that seems to be growing here.
