Proof that people really believe what they see on TV. Very sad. One of the first things I taught my son, and keep repeating, is that EVERYTHING you see on TV is fake in one way or another!
I could never enjoy the show. My grandmother inherited a huge 90 year old three story Victorian triplex. It had essentially been a chopped up rental for many decades. The city condemned it when I was 15. When all those renters moved on they stuck whatever they couldn’t carry in the basement. We literally spent the summer clearing out what had turned into a 2000 square foot jammed packed antique trove. Great fun. So the pickers pulling a couple or few items out of an old barn doesn’t hold an appeal to me
