He shouldn’t “have to” legally but he should as a matter of common sense. Why should he? Seriously Dude, if you need help understanding the benefits of wearing a medical alert bracelet, I can’t help you.

So that they could, if they wore it, get the particular kind of care they need, and so that EMTs and/or police will have a better chance of treating them properly and humanely.
I would think that someone with a recurring condition would WANT to wear a medical bracelet. It doesn’t have to be mandatory, so its reasonable to ask.
