The sad part is that most are kidnapped and held prisoners. Forced into drug addiction and then they just disappear after their no longer useful.

Actually, most of them have families who are either part of it or refuse to believe that the coaches or babysitters or pastors or daycares they are pawning their kids off on instead of actually tending their own choldren would do something bad.
