You gotta read between the lines.

“The area is part of an ongoing construction project to improve existing sections of the wall.”

Watch the video. Doesn’t appear to be any concrete in the trench yet. Agent Pitones probably should stick to what he does well and leave dumb comments about construction techniques to FReepers.

Wish they would build it out of sheet piling. Cheap, easy and fast to install and indestructible. Not the best looking thing. Put a nice looking fence in front of it on our side and move on.

gee that’s nothing.

Weather happens, and it can impact construction schedules, and inflict some additional costs. Contractors have to be bonded and insured against such losses and setbacks, so the Government will still get what they paid for.

Because we are in a hurry, and incentivizing for early delivery, contractors are going to try to push through a bit more rain and wind than they might otherwise. It is a sign of a high priority effort underway.

This year is going to be the biggest year of Border fortification in American history.

I just wonder who was responsible for building that segment of the wall. Was it the Army Engineers or the We Build the wall group?

I would bet it would have been built by the Army. There work has not been as good as the We build the wall group.

Not enough information/photos/videos to determine cause.

The presumption of the article is to imply that “Trump’s” border walls are flimsy or poorly constructed.

The wall sections (steel) are prefabricated. So the only REAL wall construction on site is the foundation and bracing support. No “failure” occurred.

It is VERY likely that “nature” caused the damage to an unfinished, partially constructed wall.

Most likely no failure at all, just the result of bad timing.
All border wall construction sites have “WEATHER” every day.
