The senate is not the place for witnesses. They are to rule on the articles presented to them. If the house wants a do-over let them come up with new articles. The ones the presented to the senate don’t fly and should be dismissed.

People keep saying this and it’s just total B.S. There’s never been an impeachment trial in the Senate without witnesses, and given that Bolton would not co-operate with the House and would with the Senate, it made sense to wait to subpoena him over there. That’s what he asked for, as well.
