As far as I can tell Eilish is devoid of any talent.
And I’m astounded she won anything.
Astounded.
I just listened to some of her songs. WHY is she popular??! She doesnt sing. Her vocals sound like a drunken whimper. Its awful!
She's still a virgin?
Her music is horrible. Best I can tell millennial women love her and a freakish guys
I have no idea who this person is but from what I’ve read here, she is very atypical.
Homeschool kids are for the most part normal kids. Most turn out just fine, others do stupid stuff.
Mine are: a nanny/college student, an editorial assistant at a very well know Christian publisher, an aerospace engineer and a commercial truck driver. His best friend is a heavy equipment operator, also homeschooled.
Some are wildly successful, most are just normal.
former homeschool parent here.
Mine are doing ok
However realize that some kids are homeschooled because they are mentally unstable.
So she’s not singing about seducing a peer’s dad, or having bruises on her knees for giving blowjobs, or being proud that her mother wouldn’t approve of the lyrics?
Enlighten me on the metaphor.
As for this particular song, she and her brother did a recorded interview where they talked about how they came up with this song, and if you watch it you'll learn that it is a character, not auto-biographical, and the lyrics are expressing sarcasm not literal behavior.
None of this is terribly important and if their music doesn't appeal to someone then they don't need to be bothered with it. But it is a mistake to judge the character of a popular singer by the lyrics of a song, or by their choice of outfit worn to the Grammys.
Not that I object. I loved that show.

A short biographical interview for a little context.
