Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could earn more than £400,000 ($500,000) for a single speaking engagement and millions more for a book deal when they begin raising their own income, according to leading American agents.
GDA Speakers, whose clients include Nicole Kidman and Diane Keaton, said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would attract much higher fees than regular celebrities, even without their HRH titles.
Meanwhile, showbiz and sport agent Darren Price predicted they could easily earn £8m ($10million) as an advance on a book deal - and that's even before any royalties from sales are taken into account.

WHY even think about them? They’re trash.

I predicted they would, but I didn’t know it would be so much. Cut their royal stipend at once!
Now we’re going to see their pix on the cover of all the fluff magazines!
For crying out loud, they’re not American! The USA doesn’t have royalty!
You are in Britain, yes? I wonder what you think of the story of Peter Phillips trading on his connections. Princess Anne did not allow her two kids to have titles. Peter Phillips is in ads in China promoting Jersey milk. The Telegraph (!) had a story suggesting that Peter Phillips was trading on his connections. He has never had a title and has to make a living somehow. He does not mention his connections (tenuous as I read that he is far down the line to the throne) nor does the rest of the ad. I was surprised that the Telegraph was helping Mr and Mrs Markle out by linking Peter Phillips (and another far down the line Royal whose name I do not remember) to the possibility that the Sussexes will trade on their title using SussexRoyal.
And PS-I wonder if the people in Sussex wish H and M would just give back their titles anyway.
I used to envy the royals when I was a kid (same age as Charles). What a way to live, I thought; royals always know where their next meal is coming from.
Then I learned about all the negatives: living in a fishbowl, schedules filled with appearances, the tabloids, whom one can & cannot marry, marriages ending in disaster, tell-all books by palace staff, etc.
To heck with that. BTW I have always believed Charles’ best years were as a Royal Navy helicopter pilot (my flying years were for me).
The closest I get to observing royals now are vids like “Secrets of the Royal Kitchen” which give the impression that royals cannot even get up their own meals but must request them. And with staff & security everywhere, I’d flee the palace screaming rather than live like that.
Don’t know why people on this side of the pond remain fascinated with the royals.
So they choose to earn their own living at the rates the free market is willing to pay them rather than continue to mooch off the British taxpayer and conservatives are down on them for this?
Sometimes I don’t understand my fellow FReepers.
It’s good to be prince.
Sell-outs.
He's Britain's Jimmy Carter.
Talk is cheap. Let’s see these two actually get these big money deals. The sooner they get rich in their own right, the sooner Daddy Charles, the British taxpayers and anyone else can stop paying their bills. They are not going to be allowed to continue to stink up the activities of the real royals, so if they want to go down the tacky celebrity route, go for it.

I just read an article this morning that the idea of dragging Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice into service to fill the gap left by the duh Prince Harry and his gold-digger duh wifey, Me-Gain, was being tossed around in the UK. Also Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward's wife, is being touted for filling the vacancy. I'm sure she has more class in her little toe than Me-Gain has in her entire high-mileage body.
#15 that photo shows the path we all take. Some of it is luck and some skill.
