But I'm even less of a fan of people using the Bible to suit their own agenda. Either it's the whole thing or not at all.

I forgot which verse it comes from but it was a prohibit of decorating a tree with sliver and gold(need I say why?) It too was a prohibition from God's people from doing what the pagans were doing at the time of it's writing. Yet "true believers" wouldn't see the ironry of quoting one part of the Bible while ignoring another part. Either it's valid or it's not.

It’s just the usual suspects. Nobody is good enough unless they live their lives exactly according to certain standards and believe exactly the same things. The same losers that whine about their religious liberties being infringed and then impose their religious views on others through condemnation of things that are none of their damn business.

For example - I personally dislike tattoos, over and above religious considerations, but if you want to get one, that’s your business. Unless you ask my opinion, I don’t have a say (outside of family and close friends where opinion solicitation is implied) and even if I do say, it is still your decision. Should I then reject you as a fellow traveler, if you make a decision contrary to what I might like, when it comes to some completely unrelated thing? I don’t think so. But there are those here that think that just because Joy Villa has tattoos or likes to party, her support of Trump is valueless. I think that’s foolish and hypocritical.
