Yeah right. The only mistake she made was saying a word that she obviously uses in regular conversation and let it slip on the air. There is no way that her story holds water. Thats not the way speech works , thats not the way the human mind works. I challenge you. I challenge anyone, to think of the word Lakers, and then start to say Knicks, and then immediately correct yourself to say Lakers again. I guarantee you it will not come out anything close to what she said. You couldnt make it sound like that if you tried. Your brain cant start a word in the middle even if youre correcting yourself from saying another word. It would come out like Knic..Lake, not Knickers. Sorry, not possible.
