True, for many. But for the other 70% of the country, that doesn’t seem to be working (unless we’re to believe they enjoy being overweight).

It doesn't work because they are not serious or disciplined and don't keep a daily food log. You have to know exactly, to the calorie, how much you are eating on a DAILY basis. Also, you must WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY until you reach your target goal weight then weigh yourself once per week. Once you reach your goal then kick it up to 2,000 cal/day.

That is all anyone needs to know.
