Right? Why don’t we have cold vaccines anyway? Have worked in vaccine development...we need a solid antigen on the coat or proof that antibodies to the capsid are effective. I remember it took forever with HIV because retroviruses are so fickle.
And even IF you get a vaccine that works on one strain or even a group...and it mutates again, like the flu...then what.
I think going foward the small molecule approach might be better. And in these other countries the benefit is no need for cold chain.
